F.I.T. ( Faith Integrated Training) is a spiritual approach to mind, body and soul self-care.  F.I.T. is expanding our ministry, now combining  free fitness opportunities (including cardio, yoga and strength training),  with nutritional based cooking classes, guided meditation and monthly Sunday morning gatherings for bible study and wellness coaching. Emily Berger ~ Founder of F.I.T.
In the fall of 2015, with the encouragement of Emera Kim, Emily founded F.I.T. as a Wednesday night exercise group at Hope. Emily is so glad to see F.I.T. expanding to include the mind, body and soul. When she is not exercising at F.I.T., Emily is a part-time systems engineer and mom of two very active boys, Gabe and Josh. She has been attending Hope Community Church since 2004 with her husband RJ. Emily will continue leading the Wednesday night video-based exercise group using a variety of exercise videos including the whole Beachbody OnDemand library (Focus T25, Insanity, 21 Day Fix, Slim in 6, Cize, etc.), Leslie Sansone, Cafe Mom Studios workout, Zumba and much more!

Andrea Charek ~ Certified Trainer and Wellness Coach
Andrea is very passionate about helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. Her passion about health and fitness started during high school and continued through her getting her masters in Exercise Science and her CSCS certification for fitness training. One of her favorite verses is Philippians 1:6, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished . . . .” She began her career as an athletic trainer and realized that while she is passionate about sports and fitness, it was through the 1:1 conversations while working with athletes through their injuries -through dark times and victories- that she recognized that she gets joy out of helping people tackle challenges and achieve their goals. She now works as a wellness coach and is excited to see how God is using FIT to help women learn how to train their bodies, feed their minds, and rest their souls. When not working, Andrea can be found shouting encouragement or loving insults on the ultimate frisbee field or slightly more quietly, she hopes, on the tennis court. One of the ways she connects with God is through nature, so she frequently walks with her old dog at local parks and hiking trails and is learning to be still.
Tori Conicello-Emery ~ yoga instructor

Tori received her 200 hr teacher training at Verge Body Mind in Wayne. She has taught yoga for over 5 years in a variety of venues including yoga studios, gyms, churches and privately. Tori is a long-time member of Hope Community Church and is also on staff. She is also a music therapist working in private practice. When Tori is not working she enjoys quality time with her family (Jay, Max, Fiona and Jude), running, working out at Crossfit KOP and singing on the worship team at Hope. What excites Tori the most about this ministry is that it makes caring for oneself accessible and affordable (aka FREE!). As women, we spend so much of our lives caring hard, loving hard, serving hard and working hard. Tori wants to offer a space where women can re-fuel physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually — together, in community.

Tracey Paradis ~ Cooking Instructor
From her college days as a Food Chemistry teaching assistant, Tracey has always been fascinated with  the why behind the how of cooking. Combine that with a love of cooking with friends, learning from those same friends their tricks of the trade and just gathering people together has Tracey thrilled to be part of F.I.T.  Tracey and her husband Jim have 3 grown children, and she loves the fact Jim loves to cook even more than she does.  Jim and Tracey are long time Hopers and Tracey directs Women@Hope.  The focus of the nutrionial support  times together will be discussing and learning how to make realistic adjustments to food choices, preparation techniques and enjoying some tasty tastings of the items prepared in class.
Bethany Valentin ~ Video Fitness Instructor
Bethany is mom to 2 beautiful boys Eric and Joey and is coming up on 14 years of marriage to her supportive and loving husband Mike.  She and her family have been attending Hope for 3 years. She works part-time as a pharmacy technician and a health and wellness coach. Over the past 16 months Bethany has been on a mission to become the healthiest version of herself she can be. After losing 50lbs (and counting!) she has found her passion for fitness and for helping others reach their goals as well.  Bethany is super excited to be part of the FIT team so she can help guide other women along their fitness journeys and realize the benefits of how total body wellness carries over into all aspects of your physical and spiritual life.
